This is the official web site of the Barton Creek
Property Owners' Association. It was developed to provide property owners
at Barton Creek Lakeside with information and documents about the association as
well as the process and procedures for building new or add-on construction
property within the development. In addition, the site provides copies of
previous newsletters, pages for men's and ladies' golf and events of interest to property owners and a list of
contacts, including handymen and service companies with whom other members have
had satisfactory experiences. If you have questions about your association
or comments about our site, don't hesitate to let us know.

Board Update -
December 5, 2011
To
All Barton Creek
Lakeside
POA Members:
I would like to thank
everyone that took time to attend the POA's annual meeting yesterday
either in person or by proxy. Those proxies are important if you aren't
going to attend. You came through for us and a 46.5% quorum number was
reached where 40% is required. Thanks to Sheri Munsch (and her great
team of "checker iners") and Randy Whitehead for their efforts
to acquire the necessary proxies.
For those that
couldn't attend, a copy of the presentation used can be found on this
main page of the website (below). The
financial package will be available on this main page later today or
tomorrow. The nutshell view of the meeting for those that don't want to
download them follows. Please note the To Do Item for you in #7:
1. The POA is in great
financial shape
2. Elected Tom Neslage
and Harvey Cody to the board to replace the retiring Robert Morrow and
David Lindsay
3. Reviewed
accomplishments for 2011 (see presentation)
4. We regretfully
accepted Terri Ackers' resignation as landscape committee chairman (she
will stay on the committee for continuity) and recognized her 10 years
of service to BC
Lakeside
5. Discussed a launch
ramp extension proposal for the marina area - sounded okay to more than
it didn't; general agreement to not partner with
Lake
Cliff
in any way to permit them using the ramp. It was felt that having one of
the lowest water boat launch ramps on this side of the lake is something
that provides BC Lakeside with a level of exclusivity, positively
impacts our property values, and overall makes the neighbor more
attractive to those considering the area.
6. Covered the
intention to upgrade the communication capability with Blackboard
Connect sometime in early 2012 (more in presentation)
7. Held a lively
discussion about CC&Rs. See the chart in the presentation on page 11
for the key CC&Rs addressed. Most of the discussion focused on
resident parking of their vehicles in driveways overnight. There were
some that wanted a strict enforcement of all CC&Rs and others that
wanted it handled with a velvet glove to keep the friendly nature of our
neighborhood. It was agreed that you all should put your thoughts about
enforcement in an email and send it to Sheri, reply to this email blast,
or to me and we will share them all with the board. We meet on Thursday.
Get your comments to us!
Again, thank you all
for attending the meeting if you did and thanks to the many, many of you
that have served the community on committees and projects this past
year.
